Springtime has this special delicate light with the sweet pinks and the fresh greens. The air can still be chilly but the sun brings bright and light sparkles of joy.

‘Spring Light' is part of 'Branch Up' which is mainly a series on the promise that blossom brings. A time of renewal but also a display of the fleeting nature of life. Blossom time feels as if all trees go in festive mode. But they only bloom for a short while so you have to seize the moment. Branch Up is painted on a prolonged canvas to accentuate the feeling of a lanky branch.
