The starting point of ‘Golden Storm Of Light' originates from several trips in the Netherlands. Mostly trips home from my studio in the polder. The views are spectacular and make you humble for natures gifts. But you will not find this exact landscape there since it is heavily drenched in imagination.
You could see an almost frightening golden storm almost reaching the wet land.
A beautiful wide view of the plowed lands. The water glows almost pink in the warm light of the sunset. But I hope you feel free to see your own inner scenery.
‘Golden Storm Of Light' is part of the series Daily Dis Appearance which is about threat and finiteness, but also about hope and reassurance. Dark and light.
Letting go of what is no more and allow what is to come. Sometimes it changes with a whisper and other times the transition comes with a bang.
Just like the daily change from night to day and vice versa. That is one constant in our lives that we can take courage from.
No matter how dark the night may be, the sun always returns.
And certainly not short on colour.
This daily spectacle is worth contemplating.
Fortunately, we have a chance to experience this twice a day.
