In my portraits of nature I love to play with the coloring in such a way that it gets a magical glow and still feels like a place you could find yourself walking in nature.
In this painting's case the sky was black awaiting a big thunderstorm with heavy rainfall. There was a large metalic blue and green dragonfly visiting my studio. She came seeking shelter.
This was right after I got the feeling I was looking at a deep dark river from the perspective of a dragonfly. No big surprise the title felt spot on. When the air cleared dragonfly flew out again.
I love how the Universe makes connection through nature:-)
